Region: South of Western Siberia Enterprise type: Production management Geological exploration: Yes Data processing and interpretation: No Location: Tyumen, Tyumen region
TNGF is one of the oldest enterprises in the Tyumen region. During its long-term production activity, the enterprise has discovered several giant deposits in Western Siberia.
TNGF does not stand still and is developing new directions in seismic exploration, including environmentally friendly seismic, mulching of profiles, and the use of VLS.
Founded in 1964 by order of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR. The creation of Tyumenneftegeofizika is the most important event in the history of the development of the GEOTEK company and the entire Russian seismic exploration. Since its foundation, the trust has included the Surgut, Shaim, Megion, Berezovskaya field geophysical offices, the West Siberian geophysical expedition, and the Tyumen geophysical repair and assembly office.
Most of the oil fields in the Tyumen region, including such giants as Bovanenkovo, Urengoy, Yamburg, Samotlor,
were discovered at sites identified and prepared by the Tyumenneftegeofizika company. In 2024, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Seismic exploration using 2D and 3D technology on land and in the transit zone using the following types of sources:
· explosive;
· vibration;
· pulse;
· pneumatic.
Related research methods:
· vertical seismic profiling ( VSP);
· study of the upper part of the section (UPS) and low velocity zones (LVZ) by microseismic logging (MSL) and refraction wave method (RWM);
· magnetic exploration, electrical exploration, gravity exploration;
· airborne laser scanning (ALS).
Using highly productive systems:
· Flip-Flop —excitation of elastic vibrations is performed by signal sources alternately;
· Slip- Sweep — signal sources operate simultaneously;
· wireless seismic exploration— collection and recording of seismic data is carried out via radio channel, or accumulated on memory devices inside the blocks and then read using Wi-Fi or when collecting all recording blocks of type NODE.
