Representatives of JSC GEOTEK took part in the VIII International Scientific and Practical Geophysical Conference "Geofest - 2024", which is held every two years and is one of the largest platforms bringing together representatives of industry service geological exploration companies, manufacturers of geophysical equipment and customers.
As part of the business program of the conference, a panel session was held on the topic "New technologies, digitalization, import substitution", where leading specialists and experts of the industry considered the main trends in modern seismic exploration in conditions of restrictions, as well as innovative solutions in the industry. Representatives of GEOTEK spoke about new geophysical equipment and technologies in the context of current challenges of the geological exploration market in the Russian Federation, in particular about the latest developments of the company's subsidiary, the Impuls plant: pulse sources "Abakan" and "H20", the radiation power of which is 1.3-1.5 times higher, and the signal/noise ratio of data is 30-50% higher than that of analogues. The company plans to further increase the power and efficiency of these pulse sources.
During the business program, specialists from the subsidiary, the GEOPRIME company, presented an overview of the capabilities of DAS systems that GEOTEK tested in the current winter field season to solve problems in the oil and gas sector. The experts also discussed new approaches to processing, interpretation, integration, and the transition to high-quality import-substituting seismic exploration technologies.
“GEOTEK values and supports scientific and practical events where interested specialists and experts in geology and geophysics can comprehensively discuss the challenges facing the industry, exchange experiences, and present modern methods and technologies. GEOTEK has exceptional competencies and expertise, as well as technical equipment, and continues to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the state program for the reproduction of Russia's mineral resource base in the oil and gas sector,” said GEOTEK President Roman Panov.
