High-density survey in challenging conditions of YNAO

Achieving peak performance of 4619 physical observations per day set an absolute record for Russia at the time of project implementation.

Over 63 calendar days in difficult surface conditions of a 200 km2 study area, saturated with utility lines and numerous lakes, 160-260 physical observations were processed using the vibroseismic method. The average daily performance was 2570 physical observations.

The highest registration rates were ensured not only by full-scale organizational and technical measures, but also by the capabilities of unique and reliable geophysical equipment.

Unique seismic material has been obtained, allowing an objective assessment of the potential of the new high-density survey in comparison with standard 3D observation systems.

It was possible to qualitatively improve the ratio of the resolution and dynamic expressiveness of the recording, which, together with the processing potential, increases the reliability of solving problems of predicting the properties of a geological section.

Higher vertical and lateral resolution of the recording is a guarantee for the correct solution of geological problems.
