Seismic Survey Crew 477 (SP-477) of GEOTEK’s Orenburg Branch has successfully completed a challenging 3D seismic survey project in the Orenburg Region ahead of schedule.
The survey was conducted over a promising licensed area covering 164 square kilometers. To carry out the geophysical work, state-of-the-art Vostok BV62T vibratory units were used, demonstrating high reliability and efficiency.
The collected seismic data will enable the client to confidently address geological challenges related to oil and gas exploration in the region.
Following the project’s completion, SP-477 promptly transitioned to a new 3D seismic survey in the Samara Region. The work is complicated by the area’s tectonic features, a well-developed hydrographic network, the presence of settlements, roads, and railways, as well as weather conditions. Despite these challenges, SP-477 has swiftly completed all preparatory and test-methodological work and has already begun seismic data acquisition.
