As part of the business agenda, the company’s President, Roman Panov, delivered a report during a strategic session dedicated to the export of Russian oilfield services as a core development direction.
«Neftegaz-2025» reflected major trends in the energy sector — a shift from raw material exports to technology exports. According to Roman Panov, in recent years, the Russian oilfield services industry has evolved from relying on foreign solutions to developing its own high-tech products that can compete on the global stage. «We are not simply substituting — we are developing and exporting. Our technologies — from seismic exploration to digital interpretation — meet the highest international standards and even surpass them in certain areas,» he emphasized.
A vivid example of the export model is the implementation of high-density 3D seismic survey projects in several foreign countries using the unique ISSD technology. «GEOTEK» not only provides services but builds a complete technological chain: from methodology and equipment to personnel training and technical support. «This is no longer a service export — it’s a platform solution export, where the client becomes a partner,» noted Roman Panov.
The forum also placed special emphasis on import independence. The company’s Chief Geophysicist, Andrey Fedorov, presented GEOTEK’s own developments in the creation of geophysical equipment based at the «Impulse» plant and the deployment of the new «Vostok 62T» vibratory sources, supplied in partnership with Chinese manufacturers. During the current field season, the equipment has proven effective in 3D seismic projects in the Orenburg and Samara regions. The new equipment version has shown strong potential, including capabilities for broadband and low-frequency seismic exploration across various regions of the country.
JSC «GEOTEK» is a leading player in land and transition zone seismic exploration. The company operates in all major oil and gas regions of Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, serving as a backbone enterprise of the industry and making a key contribution to the implementation of the state program for the reproduction of the mineral resource base.
