During the event, participants discussed key issues related to geological exploration and field development, increasing operational efficiency, and the implementation of import substitution technologies and equipment for subsurface geological studies. The conference also featured presentations by independent experts from the oil and gas sector.

As part of the open session dedicated to geological exploration and field development, Ilya Obraztsov, Managing Director of GEOTEK JSC, delivered a presentation titled "New Technologies and Import Substitution Paths in the Geological Exploration Industry." He emphasized that in the current environment, the company continues to actively develop and implement advanced seismic exploration technologies, combining domestic solutions with equipment sourced from friendly countries. This approach reduces dependency on foreign suppliers, strengthens economic stability, and enhances Russia’s energy security.

“The company has patented the method of Independent Stimulation with Seismic Devices (ISSD) in motion, which ensures high-density seismic data and improved detailing of geological structures. This technology is actively used in field operations, including a large-scale 3D project in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, carried out under challenging conditions with well-developed infrastructure. The use of ISSD alongside traditional explosive sources helps minimize seismic data loss and improve the quality of geological information. GEOTEK also designs and manufactures its own unique geophysical equipment at the ‘Impulse’ plant, contributing to the comprehensive import substitution program in the oil and gas industry,” Obraztsov noted.

The meeting was attended by executives and specialists from relevant departments of Gazprom PJSC and its subsidiaries, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, and industry research institutes.
