JSC «GEOTEK» continues to develop cutting-edge seismic exploration technologies, providing highly accurate geological information to its clients. The seismic exploration team of the JSC «GEOTEK» subsidiary, «Tyumenneftegeofizika,» is implementing an innovative 3D project within a licensed area in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO).

The project represents one of the most challenging tasks in the field of seismic exploration. The work zone contains numerous man-made objects, including highways, railways, pipelines, power lines, and residential settlements. Such conditions require a specialized approach to organizing geophysical studies, extensive experience, and unique expertise from specialized professionals. To minimize the impact of infrastructure and obtain the fullest possible picture of the geological structure of the area, the team employs a comprehensive method for generating seismic signals. Within the scope of the project, both explosive sources and mobile pulse excitation technology are used. This innovative approach significantly reduces potential losses of seismic data that could arise due to the large number of obstacles. Its implementation became feasible thanks to the successful introduction in 2024-2025 of a new, patented GEOTEK technology called «ISSD» (mobile acquisition of geophysical data) using domestically produced «Yenisei N-20» pulse sources, combined with traditional explosion-based excitation methods.
