JSC GEOTECH has begun field seismic exploration work at the Yelovaya Ploshad site in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra as part of a previously won tender. The immediate customer and subsoil user of the site is RN-Uvatneftegaz LLC (100% owned by PJSC NK Rosneft).
As part of the project, the contract provides for the performance of 2D/3D CMP works at the Yelovaya Ploshad site by seismic exploration crew No. 212 of the Tyumenneftegeofizika branch.
During the 2023-2024 winter field season, It is planned to carry out seismic exploration work MOGT 2D in the volume of 510 linear km and MOGT 3D in the volume of 150 km². In addition, a study of the upper part of the section will be carried out for geological justification of the underlying rocks. The entire scope of work is planned to be completed in April 2024.
The purpose of the work is to clarify the geological structure of the site, to obtain high-quality seismic material. The results obtained by GEOTECH will be processed and interpreted by specialists from Rosneft’s corporate research institute in Tyumen to provide recommendations to RN-Uvatneftegaz geologists for subsequent decision-making on exploration drilling.
Earlier, GEOTECH announced contracts for regional field seismic exploration studies at the Karabashsky-3 and Karabashsky-4 sites in the amount of 2,000 linear kilometers and 1,500 linear meters, respectively, where GEOTECH’s own Yenisei sources will be used in the work.
Currently, GEOTECH is actively forming a contract base by working with key customers, as well as through the development of new markets, increasing the share of high-tech and high-margin projects on land and in transit zones of the Russian shelf and abroad to address targets to increase revenue in 2024 by more than 30% compared to 2023.
