Seismic Crew-217 has completed its preparations, passed an audit, and commenced field operations as part of the 2024-2025 winter field season in Western Siberia.

The audit, conducted by representatives of the Client, included an assessment of the base’s readiness, compliance with safety standards, the quality of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the organization of medical assistance. Following the inspection, the seismic crew confirmed its high level of preparedness and compliance with the Client’s standards.

The work is being carried out in a remote area lacking road infrastructure. Personnel and equipment are transported using helicopters and all-terrain vehicles. Travel time by all-terrain vehicles from the nearest populated area can take up to 28 hours.

«The production program for the winter field season at this project in Western Siberia includes conducting approximately 290 square kilometers of 3D seismic surveys using the CDP (common depth point) method. A suite of modern seismic exploration equipment and domestically produced drilling rigs will be employed for the land surveys. All crew specialists have undergone the necessary training and have started implementing the tasks within the scheduled timeframe,» emphasized Roman Panov, President of JSC «GEOTEK.»
