“Geotech Seismic services” has purchased new equipment for seismic survey

New Russian drilling rigs and vibrators Nomad 65 produced by Sercel will be applied in seismic crews of Geotech.

The new equipment will add to successful completion of scheduled seismic projects in due time. The vibrators Sercel Nomad 65 will operate in Yamal (Western Siberia, Polar circle, Russia), where seismic projects for Rosneft are in progress. Also the seismic operations are carried out at Vorgen and Messoyakha fields for Gazprom neft. The challenge is geographical location typical with much snow and rough terrain. 14 000 channels will be used for these operations.

In KHMAO (Western Siberia, Russia) a large amount of operation shall be completed within a short period of time. One of the projects is Pottynsko-Inginski for Ruspetro. In Yakutia the oil company Surgutneftegaz ordered a seismic survey with high resolution UniQ technique in the Vostochno-Alinsky field.

1,5 mln shot points shall be acquired, 820 000 using vibroseis and pulse sources and 630 000 shot points will be acquired using explosives.

This field season 41 seismic crews of “Geotech Seismic service” are operating. All seismic operations are carried out in full compliance with HSSE requirements.
